Hello, I’m Sandeep Virdi (he/him), a dedicated father of two kids, a loving husband, and a Principal Software Engineer at Optum Digital, formerly known as Rally Health. My life is a balance of family and a deep passion for software engineering
My professional journey has seen me tackle diverse projects, from Identity Federation and optimizing Session Management to implementing OAuth 2.0 specifications. I have worked with JVM-based languages, like Scala, Kotlin, and Java. I have ventured beyond the basics and worked with effect systems, like Cat’s Effect and ZIO in Scala, and arrow-kt in the Kotlin ecosystem.
But it’s not all about work. In my personal time, you’ll find me immersed in the world of technology, constantly tinkering with tech and ideas. I’m always on the hunt for unique flavors and dining experiences. When I’m not exploring the digital realm or savoring delectable dishes. I like playing and introducing video games to my kids.
Currently I am diving into the world of Golang and AWS Serverless Architecture for a project at work.
